URBAN AGRIGULTURE

Urban agriculture has the goal of producing local, nutritional food for yourself, your business &/or your community, while providing space to gather, produce & distribute food. It can include community gardens, neighborhood gardens, backyard gardens, small-scale agriculture, food forests, & indoor growing facilities within urban areas.

NEIGHBORHOOD GARDENS

Neighborhood gardens provide space for residents to grow their own food, while also creating a place to network and build community. The Stevens Point Area Neighborhood Gardens (SPANG) have locations on W Cornell / W Whitney Street and Franklin Street. We offer raised garden beds for rent at these locations.

The Giving Farm

The Giving Farm is a 1.42 acre lot that will provide a space that will focus on fighting food insecurity in our community. The Giving Farm provides fresh produce that can be distributed to our local food pantries, BackPack programs, and meal sites, which provides healthy and sustainable grown food options for families in need.
