LTE Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Technician
The AIS Technician will support Golden Sands RC&D’s Aquatic Invasive Species Team in monitoring, documenting, and managing invasive species across Central Wisconsin’s waterways. This position involves conducting field surveys, assisting with outreach and volunteer engagement, and contributing to early detection and prevention efforts through data collection and reporting.

Watercraft Inspector Intern
Join Golden Sands RC&D this summer as a watercraft inspector, where you’ll perform boat inspections and educate the public on preventing aquatic invasive species. This flexible, resume-building position is ideal for individuals interested in natural resources and comfortable working independently outdoors. Paid training is included, with most weekend shifts required.

Managed Grazing Internship
This position will support Golden Sands RC&D staff in implementing grazing conservation practices across Central Wisconsin. Responsibilities include assisting with field visits, collecting resource data, creating GIS maps, preparing outreach materials, and providing technical support to landowners and partners. This position offers hands-on experience in managed grazing, forage identification, livestock handling, and conservation planning.

Clark County Forestry Steward Intern
The Clark County Forestry Steward Intern will support the Clark County Forestry & Parks Department by collecting, analyzing, and recording forest inventory and reconnaissance data using established forestry practices. This role involves conducting field measurements, performing accurate data entry and quality control, and navigating to plot sites using maps and GIS.

Taylor County Forestry Steward Intern
Golden Sands RC&D is seeking a motivated Forestry Steward Intern (LTE) to support the Taylor County Forestry & Recreation Department with field data collection, forest inventory, and implementation of sustainable forestry practices. The intern will conduct plot measurements, manage invasive species, maintain deer enclosures, and perform data entry and GIS-based planning. This position involves hands-on outdoor work in diverse weather and terrain conditions.

Administrative Intern
The Administrative Intern assists with a variety of administrative functions, including daily office communications, project documentation, customer support, and meeting and event coordination. The role also contributes to website updates, social media posts, and maintaining an organized office environment.
The ideal candidate must qualify for the Pointers Connect Internship (PCI) Program.

Media Production Intern
This internship centers on creating media, especially podcast and video content, to support soil and water conservation efforts. The intern will work with local farmers, nonprofits, and the Golden Sands RC&D team to record, edit, and publish outreach materials while helping plan podcast episodes and occasionally participating in field work. Responsibilities also include coordinating with guests, preparing captions and transcripts, and supporting volunteer or sponsorship outreach.
