STEVENS POINT AREA NEIGHBORHOOD GARDENS
Neighborhood gardens provide beautiful space for residents to grow their own food. These green spaces are peaceful, economically beneficial to people and communities, and provide joy when you see your garden growing!
We have two locations: Franklin St. and Cornell Ave. & Whitney St
Gardens have a composting area, water barrels, and a perimeter fence. If you're new to gardening, a garden mentor can be provided to you!
Plots are for rent! Both locations offer 4’ x 12’ raised beds ($22.00) with a limit of 2 per gardener. Gardeners can expect to start planting on these “ready to go” sites by May 1st, weather permitting.
If you are interested in renting a plot: please print, fill out and mail us the following forms:
We need a new sign! Our Cornell/Whitney garden site received a makeover in 2018, thanks to the hardworking students at Stevens Point Area Senior High. They rebuilt the bed frames and landscaped that pathways. Wow!
Now we need a new sign, just like the one Schmeekle Reserve designed for our Franklin St site, and the makeover will be complete!
