About the event
Come and learn from and tour Peter Johnson’s farm! Peter has converted severely depleted cropland using intensive managed rotational grazing into lush beautiful pastures. Intensive grazing is moving cattle 2-3 times a day. Learn about the challenges and benefits of intensive grazing and how he determines his stocking rate and paddock size. In addition to cattle Peter also raises some pigs. In total there is roughly 400 acres of land with a mixture of pasture, forest, hay ground, cover crops and wildlife food plots.
