About the event
Golden Sands RC&D and Southern Driftless Grasslands (SDG) are hosting a managed grazing workshop on August 28th with funding from the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The workshop will be held at the Iowa County Health and Human Services Building in Dodgeville, WI.
This workshop is for farmers, livestock producers, and landowners who are ready to improve or expand their operations with custom grazing. Custom grazing is any arrangement that separates the ownership and management of land and livestock, including renting pasture or raising livestock for other people. Participants in the workshop will craft a personalized business plan for their preferred custom grazing arrangement and get feedback from lenders and/or conservation specialists. Refreshments and lunch will be provided to participants!
