About the event

Join us at the Hill Woodland in Harris, Marquette County, for a Demonstration Forest event! This event will focus on managing a woodland for timber production and how to incorporate wildlife habitat within it. This specific site contains pine, oak, and early successional hardwood forest as well as marsh habitat. These habitats are managed for songbirds, woodcock and ruffed grouse. This event may contain 1-2 miles of walking on trails. Participants are encouraged to bring water, snacks, walking shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, and anything else you may need. The specific address will be shared through email after participants register for the event. Light refreshments will also be provided!
