"I enjoy helping with volunteer work parties every year.  I can really see the difference we're making in the park, and I've met so many nice people who love nature as much as I do."
-- Marathon County Volunteer

Our Volunteers

We organize a variety of events throughout the year, including educational field trips, in-depth trainings for aquatic invasive species work, and other activities throughout Central Wisconsin. Beyond those, there are countless daily tasks that always need a helping hand.

May 5th:  Main Street Parks is taking over a couple of parking spaces in Downtown Stevens Point, and creating fun, attractive alternatives to blacktop parking spaces for the day.  They'll need help with setup and hosting the spaces for the day.  Contact Amy Thorstenson for more info at 715-346-1264.

June 3rd:  Help host our EAB Workshop, "Save Your Ash!", at Mosquito Hill Nature Center, New London, WI.  Help tend the registration booth, setup tables, and other basic event support.  And, hey, catch a great presentation about EAB, too!  Contact Amy Thorstenson to sign up at 715-346-1264 or Amy.Thorstenson(at)

Ongoing:  Fish tank TLC needed!  Our invasive species display aquarium needs regular attention to keep our specimens healthy and keep the aquarium looking nice.  Are you an aquarium enthusiast?  Contact Amy Thorstenson at 715-346-1264 or Amy.Thorstenson(at)
